When to reach for it

The cheapest way into the Seedance family's reference model. Nine reference images, three reference videos, three reference audios, a fifteen-second ceiling and the same six aspect ratios as the rest of the family, at a fraction of what 2.5 charges for a comparable take.

The cap is 720p, which for social, web and anything that will be viewed on a phone is not a real constraint. It becomes one only when the deliverable is a full-resolution master, and then base 2.0 is where to go.

Its natural place is the exploration phase of a multi-shot sequence. Because it shares the reference capacity and the frame handling with the rest of the family, a cast sheet and a chain of final frames built here transfer intact to 2.0 or 2.5 when it is time to render the keeper. That is worth more than the per-take saving: it means the cheap phase and the expensive phase are the same workflow rather than two.
